Do not accept the line that the federal government can take care of our every need just by increasing the debt limit. I am so sorry that any chance for optimism has been stolen from you and that we are passing this weight onto your backs and that of your children.

Boehner giving up the fight

Boehner is not forcing spending cuts, and long term changes to entitlements. An opportunity has been lost. These so called deadlines are just an excuse to stop pushing for real reforms including drastic spending cuts. The can has been kicked again. But, this time it will land in the voting booth.
